Look! Another new post! hurray!

Here what things look like a few hours later, I hope that you can tell a difference. I was originally painting this to send out as a thank you card for my wedding...yeah...I know that was a year or so ago, but hey, if you gave us something you just might get one...someday...

working working working, like a busy little bee

This is a little thing I've been working on for a little while now. I thought I would post some "work in progress" pics.

I looked out the window and what did I see? A great big scary dead tree.

White hats are all the rage.

All along the trail, a ghostly moan was to be heard. The travelers peered over their shoulders constantly till one by one they walked into the trees that lined the path through the deep woods. Till only Pepe' was left standing and staring all around in the dark. Suddenly a ghostly face moaned in front of his own quivering face.....Actually, this is what a zombie would look like if it was wearing a white fur hat in a snow storm.

I didn't want to go to sleep yet so I thought I would stay up a little later and play with color. It's not done yet, but it's a start. The only problem with this first coloring is that it seems to lose some of the pop it had as black and white. Any thoughts about that?

This is a little study of some rhinos. I'm trying out a new technique and tool. The new tool is the Pentel color brush. It's pretty weird to work with at first, but it's getting a little easier. I still have to color it.

Poor lonely giant

The poor guy, all these other people are getting married and he's stuck with only his overalls and lumps. Maybe some day, a princess will drop down and sweep him off his feet.

Momentum

At last, I finished another IF project. I admit it, I thought of Calvin and Hobbes with this topic as they careened towards impending pain on their little red sled. I hope that I'll have something for you to see next week!

Arrgh, it's the Captain...

I really liked the topic this week for Illustration Friday, so I sat myself down (after I put on Bourne Identity) and started drawing. A few hours later, my drawing for this week's topic "Captain".
